I’m heartbroken to hear of Karen’s passing. I had no clue that while I’ve been texting to check on you, the angels had already carried you to heaven. You were always so kind and welcoming to me. I’ll miss you forever my friend! 💜

I miss you so, so much Mom.  Even though I know your by my side. What I would do just to hear your voice and give you the biggest huge.  I love 💕 you so much 🤗 

Oh Dear Sweet Karen the worls is a smaller place without you. I will miss our trips to RRR camp and dancing by the fire pit. I always looked forward to seeing you ! Take care and have fun in heaven ❤

My heart is so heavy today knowing this would be the only time for me to say goodbye my friend. Karen and I were coworkers for about 6 years at Iscential. We shared many memories throughout that time especially regarding baseball. Her love for the Rangers and mine for the Astros. It’s because of her you see me wearing at Rangers hat as I had to purchase one in her honor. Hope your smiling from ear to ear because you did this. I’ll wear it to the Astros games against the Rangers for you but you know I’ll be wearing my Astros jersey. Karen was an amazing person, loving, caring and always making sure everyone was ok. If you know Karen then you know about the 🎂. She taught me about the chef-maker as I as well like to bake. At time I would joke with her and call her mother-in-law because who wouldn't want Karen to be their mother-in-law. Karen my sweet friend rest easy. Always loved, Forever missed, Never forgotten! 

Karen and I were co-workers at Iscential. She and I became very good friends, we would laughed all the time because she  would said we were so much alike that it was scary.  We called each other twins. We would enjoyed our long conversation about anything. She was a great friend, a kind and loving person and always there to help whoever she could. She had a heart of Gold. I miss her greatly. Prayers for the family and those who knew her.

Karen it was my pleasure working with you. You was such a GREAT friend. Your family will always be in my prayers, if you guys need anything  PLEASE know i’m just a phone call away.

Karen was my co-worker at Iscential but more importantly my friend. We bonded right away discussing dogs, children and grandchildren.  She was always someone I could talk to about anything.  She was kind and funny and fierce.  I still can't believe I'm going to walk through the office and not see her at her desk or hear my phone ring and not hear her voice or ask "who wants to go to lunch?" and not see her grab her things and head out with us.  

Karen never forgot a birthday and always asked us what kind of cake we wanted.  Lemon was a hands down favorite!  When my aunt celebrated her 90th birthday it was Karen I turned to for desserts.  I had to struggle to pay her for all her hard work......she didn't want anything but to bake.  I miss her today and I will miss her every tomorrow.  She fought hard and deserves to rest even if we were not ready to let her go.   Love and prayers to the Abbey Family.  

I am so saddened to hear of Karen's passing.  I worked with Karen for several years and had the pleasure to get to know her very well.  She had a heart of gold and was a joy to be around.  I remember her baking cakes for everyone's birthday...not just simple cakes...she would make gourmet, beautiful cakes for all to enjoy.  I will miss Karen dearly and I am praying for your comfort during this difficult time.  

Oh how I am going to miss your sweet smile and your laugh. I am going to miss our camp talks on the Blanco River.  I am going to miss getting your texts about Thanksgiving. I am going to miss watching you stuff eggs at Easter and then telling us to go hide them for the littles.  You maybe gone but you will never be forgotten. Everytime I eat a cookie with a kiss in it, a cheese ball, peanut butter fudge, or a reeces I will think of you.  Everytime I see the Rangers are playing or that dreaded Cowboy star (sorry couldn’t resist) I will think of you. Everytime I see a St Bernard or a little white fluffy dog I will think of you.  Everytime one of my kids do a darn fundraiser I am going to think of you because some how you always seemed to win. You have always preached family and I know sometimes it seemed like it was falling on deaf ears, I promise you it didn’t. You were/are such an inspiration to many and I can only hope to be half the person you were with your big heart of gold, you never met a stranger and welcomed everyone.  #everyoneneedsanauntKaren

I was a breeder of St. Bernard's when I first moved to The Colony, TX.  Tim came to select a puppy, George,  for Karen's birthday. When he returned to pick up the puppy, Karen was in tow because she had made Tim tell her what he was up too and she was just too excited to wait for her surprise.  Fast forward a few years and I had moved with my kids to Mesquite, and was at Petsmart to buy a doghouse large enough for my male dog. I asked to borrow their dog George to try on a doghouse because I didn't want to get the wrong size. Of course they said yes, and when I looked closer at the dog, I said "this is my dog!" I saw their horrified look, and quickly explained I had bred this dog. They didn't recognize me because of a wig I was wearing due to cancer treatment. But Tim was quick to put the pieces together and all the tension was gone. We chatted excitedly for a while and Karen,  being Karen,  invited me to the party they were having that next weekend.  I seriously debated about going, but I'm so glad I did. Our family and theirs became friends, and lifelong ones at that. I was happy to share my cancer journey and prayers with Karen as she went through her cancer, and I just knew she would recover. I'm so profoundly sad at her passing. She was such a gift to so many.

People wonder about their legacy; a building, a company, a fortune left to their family. But Karen's legacy was a loving, intelligent, and hardworking family and innumerable friends. She was kind and sweet, patient and funny. She spoke the truth and was generous with her talents and time. She was so in love with her husband, and was a true example of a great marriage.  She loved her kids, grandkids, and her friends with all her heart, and was easy to love back. In the end she also loved Jesus.  We will sorely miss her and cannot understand why all our prayers didn't work, but God has His plans which man cannot know. I look forward to seeing her again in heaven. 

Thank you so much for being the best Mom ever.   I miss you so much.  Love 💕 you Mom. 

Karen is such a beautiful person. I met her at work. Our commonality at that time was Reeses Pieces! Oh boy did we INDULGE in them together. ❤ Then she continued to shower us on our birthdays with her deliciously baked cakes; lemon cake was my favorite. 
As sweet as her cakes and as those Reeses Pieces,  her soul was much sweeter. She is kind. She listens. She cares. She loves. She is a fighter. She will be so missed. Rest in peace knowing Karen is sitting next to the GREATEST. Rest well my beauty, rest well. ❤
