Jason Lee Halbert, age 51, celebrated his arrival into Heaven just after midnight on Monday, December 9, 2019 after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme. His battle ended peacefully in his home, surrounded by the love of his family. Jason was born on June 18, 1968 to Jesse and Sandra Halbert in Hillsboro, TX.
He attended Hillsboro High School where he participated in a variety of sports and graduated in 1986. He went on to attend Baylor University and The University of Phoenix where he earned a master’s degree in business. He worked for Compaq/HP for many years as a Senior Manager and was loved and respected by his co-workers. Through is career, he was able to enjoy traveling the world to places such as Europe and Asia.
Jason and Nicole married on December 5, 1998, and in their 21 years of marriage they welcomed two beautiful daughters, Kaylee and Ashlee. The girls were the light of his life and he never went a day without telling them. Jason made it a priority to attend every event that his daughters were involved in and never missed a chance to tell them how proud he was of them.
Jason’s hobbies included golfing, fishing, and watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys and Baylor Bears. Jason was known to be the family travel planner and guide. He organized many RV trips for the family and looked forward to our trips each year. Jason’s involvement in his church, Faithbridge, included beginning and leading a small group, attending the men’s small group, and acting as a ministry guide for others. His faith in Jesus was the cornerstone throughout his journey.
