Jim represents the elder brother that i never had, who set living examples in so many ways for me ever since we met. i am missing him, but am reassured that his heavenly abode is far more worthy of him.
May God continue to bless Jim's entire family, every instant, always.

I worked with Jim for over a decade, and the experience enriched both my career and my life. Working with him was always an exciting and creative endeavor. I always appreciated his drive to do the very best thing for the client and to do truly original work. Jim was energetic, principled, considerate and fun. He was always polite and a consummate professional. Jim was a good man, and I will miss him.

My name is Becky Smith and I am grateful and humbled for the opportunity to express my deep appreciation for Jim and the mighty role he played in my family's lives. 

Jim was a gracious mentor to two of my sons, Christopher and Joshua along with my grandson Ethan. I have zero doubt that Jim's powerful and righteous influence over my boys will easily be seen for decades to come because of the precious time he took for them and so many others!

Though I only had the opportunity to meet Jim and JoAnne once or twice at Brio when my son Joshua worked there, I appreciated Jim because of the stories my boys would share with me through the years of character book studies and BSF. 

It was evident through what they shared that Jim met God's standard of character, faith, knowledge and spiritual gifts specifically addressed in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3. 

Being well-established in the Christian faith, Jim had a good reputation and was above reproach. He was level-headed and self-controlled. He had a gentle and gracious spirit. He was honest and genuine. He loved what was good, upright and holy. He held firm to the truths of the Scripture and always approached a problem by pointing the way back to Christ. 

Thank you, JoAnne for sharing, supporting, and encouraging your husband in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am confident that he was met at the pearly gates of Heaven with "Well done, my good and faithful servant!" He will surely be missed!

My brother, Joshua, invited me to a summer Bible study in 2017. I thought, "I love the Lord, what do I have to lose?"  I had no idea how much I had to gain! God used Jim to shine the Light and change my life in so many ways. 

Jim truly had a heart for God, which reminded me of the character displayed by King David. He was a man's man and loved the Lord. A highlight of our week was getting the Boys together, discussing God's truth and gleaning so much wisdom from "the rear view miles". Jim shared of God's love and protection through many of life's trials. These conversations and convictions helped unlock another level in my personal relationship with Jesus Christ and helped me discover what a Godly man looks like, as a friend, husband, father and grandfather. 

Jim asked me one night at dinner, "Chris, you say the Lord is putting it on your heart to establish a family, but what are you doing to market yourself?" He enlightened me that I had forgotten the "Knock" in the Ask, Seek and Knock process! In the following year, as I held Psalms 37:4 close, I met my lovely bride to be, when only one, God ordained door opened. Jim was used by God to usher me to this new era in life, and my family thanks him dearly. 

Jim introduced me to BSF and signed up another lifer to deep dive and discover God's truth and how to apply it. 

Charging forward in life, I'll stand on one of Jim's favorite verses, Isaiah 41:10 
So do not fear, for I am with you;     do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you;     I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Jim and Joanne's advice, love and support were a life building godsend. Joanne's encouragement is a blessing when she shares that the baby's odd range of noises are healthy developments!

Needless to say, I can go on and on about how God used this wonderful man to change my life and the life of others, for the better and for God's glory. He will be missed and never forgotten!

I met Jim in 2015, 
He invited me to my first Bible study. Since then he has been an incredible friend, mentor, and humble servant of God. His influence over my life and my family's will last forever. I am eternally grateful to have known him, and look forward to seeing my dear friend again. My deepest condolences to Joanne and his beautiful family.  He will forever shine like a city on a hill,  for all the lives he touched.
