It's hard to believe it's been three years already since you were called to Heaven. You're always in my thoughts & prayers. I know it may be hard to rest in peace as you look down upon us, but I hope that in time all will settle down and your legacy will live on for the benefit of ALL your loved ones.

Primo primito... me parte el alma saber que ya no estás en vida aquí, aunque estoy segurísima que estás en el cielo porque te ganaste el pase aquí en esta vida . Perdón primo por ser egoísta porque admito que me enoje con Dios al saber que te llamo ante El, todos los días le pedía que te levantara de esa bendita cama y si te levanto pero a su lado que no hay lugar mas bello que estar en la presencia de El, pero me cuesta, no entiendo porque te llamo cuando aquí mucha gente te amaba y les harás mucha falta. Fuiste un gran hombre primo, siempre recordare tu risa, tu sencillez y tu "ora huachas de Huatichapio" y tu cariño hacia nosotras incluyendo a mi madre gracias por darle ánimos cuando ella estaba enferma gracias primo a ella le ah dolido mucho tu partida, te estimaba mucho. Siempre me acordaré primo lo que me dijiste en mi boda aunque ya estabas medio toqueron pero los toquerones y los niños siempre dicen la verdad no "Prima yo soy de pocas palabras ya sabes pero estoy feliz por ti" y nos reímos los dos porque apenas y lo pudiste decir y porque todavía no acabas y yo ya me estaba riendo. Tu sola presencia hablaba de lo grande que eras no necesitabas decir mucho. Gracias primo por siempre tirarme esquina las veces que nos pusimos toquerones juntos y me desahogaba segun yo. Me dejaste una gran tarea primo que es estar en gracia de Dios para algún dia volverte a saludar y darte un abrazo y ahí si Dios quiere decirte "Ora huache de Tejupilco" Todos los días pediré a Dios por mi tía,tu esposa, tus hijos y tus hermanos para que les de la Paz y el consuelo que solo puede venir de El, de no tenerte más aquí. Gracias primo por todos los bonitos recuerdos que nos dejaste !


Mi más grande pésame para toda la familia Hernández esposa,hijos,mamá, hermanas, hermanos, son momentos muy difíciles e inesperados, Dios les llené de paz, fortaleza y les de el consuelo . Dios les bendiga!!

There are no words to explain how heartbroken I am and I can't believe I will no longer be able to create new memories with you...I am going to miss hearing your contagious laughs and seeing your big smile, I am going to miss seeing you at the family gatherings and being welcomed into your home with open arms. You had such a big impact on everyone including myself, you believed in me, you showed us that the American Dream is still alive, you showed us how to have a good time and you taught us that family is the most important thing in the world. There was never a dull moment when you were around Tio. You were always so kind, funny and caring. I will always miss you and I know you're still looking down on us. You're one of God's angels now and I hope I'll able to see you again one day Tio. We're going to miss you a lot down here. I always admired you. Te quiero mucho Tio.
I hope God has a really special place for you Tio because you deserve only the best.

Rest In Paradise Boss😞
As sad as it is, is very hard to say goodbye to a good friend that I had for more than 15 years. Tavo also considered his friends as family and sure did make you feel like one. I was lucky to be part of his grand openings of all his  3 restaurants and to hear the great news by himself of his next project that he was so happy about, we hugged and cheered with him and it breaks my hard to think that, that was our last warming hugged that we shared. However, God had other plans for our dear friend and decided to take Tavo with him. It will never be the same walking in my job anymore, not hearing his greetings and laughter as we said our hellos or goodbyes. Also, not serving him his favorite drinks, we sure will miss him deeply. R.I.P GUSTAVO, and help us ease these painful grieving we are all experiencing from all your family to your friends.

You will be truly missed by many. Thankyou for always being there and listening to everyone's needs. It sure will feel akward walking in Chaparro,s without seeing you there anymore, or being greeted by you. You always had a big smile and asked about my day, that was just how caring you were. My heart is broken by you leaving us way too soon. I will miss your smile, your laugh and your kind heart. You were a dear friend that grew to be family over the decades and will be forever missed!

Sin ti, hoy yo no sería la misma persona. Me arrepiento tanto de no averte dado las gracias por averme avierto las puertas para formar parte de una familia tan bonita y especial. Para mi, no solo formastes la fundación de lo que es El Chaparro pero tambien un futuro y una familia que siempre será parte d mi vida. No me ago a la idie de no volverte a ver. Es dificil Aceptar las cosas de la vida especialmente cuando son tan inesperadas como la perdida de Gustavo. Siempre estara con nosotros con esa Alegria y siempre Sonriendo.
Fue una gran persona y ser humano. Mi mas sentido pesame a su esposa y sus hijos. Como a mi tia y mis primos Que dios lo tenga a su lado.

Mas que un tío, un padre para nosotros. Desde niños nos viste crecer, juntos con Tavito y Alexis. Alguien muy importante para muchas personas. Muchísimas gracias por tantas memorias x el trabajo, familia y mucho mas el fútbol. Gracias por enseñarnos un lindo deporte. Te extrañaremos  tío tavo. Vuela alto y cuídanos desde el cielo. Dejaste un vacío muy grande en mi.. pero viviras por siempre en mi mente y corazón, sabes que fuiste el mejor hijo,hermano y padre de familia...  Para mí como siempre te lo decía te veía como mi papá.. nadie como tú con un gran corazón y siempre al pendiente de tu familia.. te quiero tanto hermano, se que desde el cielo cuidarás de nosotros.. Coming to Houston gave me the opportunity to be part of your dream job,  is really sad we won’t get to see you one more time walking in at the places you had built with effort and so much love along with your brother Efrain! I have to say you were always so nice to all of us, thank you so much for creating El Chaparro, a place I call a second home and where I do truly love working at. Betty and kids are in my prayers, may God give them the strength to keep forward in this difficult time. Rest In Peace Boss. You will be truly missed! 

Muchas fuerzas para la familia mi mas sentido pesame se fue un gran hombre y ser humano. Muchas pero muchas fuerzas su esposa hijos hermanos y su mama. Que descanse en paz Gustavo.

I’m thinking a lot about you my friend. You achieved more in your life than most. After arriving in America at the tender age of 17, despite seemingly insurmountable barriers and challenges you worked hard to become a US Citizen, you and Betty raised a beautiful family, you became a homeowner, you helped Betty become a US Citizen (Laureen and I were honored to be by your side as you and Betty beamed with pride) and you built several successful restaurants, creating a path for many to succeed. Walt Disney said, If you can dream it, you can do it. Well, you certainly did and you’ve been an inspiration to many, including me, my friend. Until we meet again, I’ll forever place my bet on #5 in your honor! 

Prayers for Betty, the boys and Gustavo's extended family and friends. We miss you.

I will cherish all the memories, and great times shared with you my friend! Watching sports won't be the same without your kind laugh, and generous smile. Until I see you again...

My heart is broken! The many nights of staying late watching sports and laughing with you will forever be in my memory. I will continue to bang the tambourine in your honor.
