Donald Joseph Boudousquie, age 87, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away on Friday November 23, 2018. Donald was born September 26, 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Bernardine Williams and Paul C. Boudousquie.
After graduating from Jesuit High School and attending Loyola University for one year, Donald joined the United States Air Force in 1952 and proudly served his country during the Korean War. During his deployment, he received the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Korean Service Medal. After completing his military service in 1956, Donald married the love of his life, Barbara Jean Anstead, on May 10, 1958
Donald started his professional career as a Federal Aviation Administration Air Traffic Controller in New Orleans in 1959 and later relocated to Houston in 1965. He worked for 38 years as an Air Traffic Control Specialist before retiring in1991.
Donald had a passion for golf, gardening, sports, beach vacations, great food, and the outdoors. He greatly enjoyed gathering and spending quality time with family and friends, but especially loved playing with and going to events involving his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Frank and Marianne Anstead; his sisters Rose Marie Boudousquie and Joan Garvey (Walter); his brother Paul Boudousquie (Catherine); brother-in-law Norman Zaffater; and brother-in-laws Leroy and Gordon Anstead.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara Boudousquie; daughter Rose B. Cook (Stephen Cook) of The Woodlands, TX; son Stephen Boudousquie (Maria Obren) of Phoenix, AZ; son Robert Boudousquie (Marian) of Houston, TX; son Gerry Boudousquie (Deanna) of The Woodlands, TX; son Michael Boudousquie (Renee) of Magnolia, TX; sister Carol Zaffater of Shreveport, LA. Eleven grandchildren - Lori Newland (Andy), Chris Cook, Jonathan Boudousquie (Garry Johnson Jr.), Andrew Boudousquie, Tyler Herrera, Trace Boudousquie, Brandon Boudousquie, Kyle Boudousquie, Jeremy Boudousquie (Rachele), Camren Boudousquie, and Morgan Boudousquie. Five great grandchildren - Avery, William, Matthew, Elizabeth and Anne Marie Newland.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 6:30pm - 9:30pm at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home Chapel, 18000 I-45S, The Woodlands, TX, with a rosary starting at 8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 starting at 11:00am at St. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch Dr., Spring, TX, with a burial immediately following at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX.
