He was born in Saidpur, India on May 14, 1936. Desmond graduated from St. Patrick’s College and received his Civil Engineering degree from City University in London, U.K.
He was married to Patricia Ann Stapleton on March 7, 1970.
He had a career as a project manager in Oil & Gas for Minters, U.K., Lummus Canada, A.B.B., U.S.A and Betchel U.S.A. He had a passion for work and family.
He was survived by his wife, Tricia Stapleton; son, Mark Stapleton; daughter-in-law, Meghan Stapleton; grandsons, Desmond John and Owen Stapleton; brother, Peter Stapleton; and sisters, Daphne Jewell and Yvonne Crinall.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 7801 Bay Branch Dr., The Woodlands, Texas 77385.
