Catherine Elizabeth Coe

Catherine Elizabeth Coe , 83, of The Woodlands, Texas, was ushered into her heavenly home on September 20, 2017. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God gave her peace as she anticipated meeting her Savior face to face. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45, Conroe, TX 77384. The service to honor her life will be held on September 30, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Mims Baptist Church, 1609 Porter Rd., Conroe, Texas, 77301. Burial will be on the same day at 3 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21629 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598.

Catherine was born in Hamburg, Arkansas, to John David Wallace and Lissie Bell Allen on April 12, 1934. She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Calvin Carl Coe, Jr; her son, James Robert Coe; her brothers, John David ‘J.D.’ Wallace, Louis Edward Wallace, Willie Clarence Wallace, and Thomas David Wallace.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Glandorf, and son-in-law, David Brent Glandorf; grandchildren, James Michael Thompson, Jr., Justin Mitchell Thompson, Courtney Charlene Glandorf, Shelley Coe, James Robert Coe Jr., April Dawn Hester, Justin Bryce Page, James Courtney Coe, and Jacquelyn Suzette Horne; and 16 great grand-children. She is also survived by one remaining sibling, her sister, Maudie Ruth McDaniel.

Catherine’s life was characterized by her Christian faith. She lived her faith from the inside out as she carried the love of Christ wherever she went. She loved Church. Over the years, she was a servant in many different ministries. She loved to sing and was a part of the choir. She was very thankful for the opportunity of singing in the mass choir at a Billy Graham Crusade. Catherine was known for her sweet spirit. She was devoted to God and her family. Her testimony is one that will continue to encourage all that knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September, 29, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, at Mims Baptist Church, 1609 Porter Road, in Conroe. Al Abbott, James Robert Coe, Jr., Phil Hernandez, Wesley McDaniel, James Thompson, and Justin Thompson will service as pallbearers. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
