Wayne Jones

Wayne G. Jones, 69, of Texarkana, Texas passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at his home. Wayne was born September 17, 1943 in Texarkana, Texas. In 1962 he graduated from Texas High School and from Texarkana College in 1964.

He was a star carrier for the Texarkana Gazette most of his child hood life. Following graduation from college he established Wayne Jones Motor Co. in 1964. Later in 1970 he founded Sani-Can Co. and operated it for 43 years. Graduated from Missouri Auction School at Kansas City, MO. in 1972. Wayne owned and operated many businesses in the Four States. He served as President of the Texarkana Boots and Saddle Club and South Arkansas Horse Show Association(SAHA). Also a member of Texarkana "Twice as Nice" Quadrille.

He was a father, brother and friend to so many. He loved his family, riding horses, laughing, dancing and enjoyed life to the fullest.

He is preceded in death by his parents Van and Neva Mae Jones.

Survivors are three sons and daughters-in-law Todd and Lorie Jones of DeQueen, AR. and Chris Jones of Allen, TX. and Jeff and Ashley Jones of Texarkana, TX; two daughters Suzanne Jones Weems and Amanda Jones Martin both of Texarkana; two brothers and sister-in-law Clyde "CJ" Jones and Jimmy and Catherine Jones all of Texarkana; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild and number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Monday, August 19, 2013 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane with burial to follow in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

Family will be receive friends from 2 to 4PM Sunday at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane
