Wanda Peterson McClain, 78 of Texarkana, TX passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1943 in Texarkana, AR. Mrs. McClain was a Pentecostal Christian and a member of Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, LA. She was the first female agent licensed by A-1 Bail Bonding.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Corbett and Gladys Peterson, two sisters, Juanita Trammell and Betty Allen.
Survivors include her husband, Brady McClain of Texarkana, TX; three daughters, Doresa McClanahan of Greenville, TX, Cheryl Daley and husband Robie of Simms, TX and Bridgette McClain and Clay of Bullard, TX; two sons, Kendall Payne of Point, TX and Bill Payne of Edmonton, Alberta Canada; sister, Sharon Griffith of Genoa, AR; two brothers, James Peterson of Texarkana, AR and Sam Peterson of Genoa, AR; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Two special life long friends, Darlene "AKA Fluff" Wade and Laura Rogers.
Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, November 4, 2021 at East Memorial Chapel-Downtown.
Burial will be in Rondo Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
Family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, La.
