Richard Wayne Davis

Richard was born on January 16, 1952 in Atlanta, TX to George and Thelma Davis. He was the sole proprietor of the American Shoe Shop in Texarkana, TX until his retirement in 2021. In 2006, he married the love of his life, Nancy, whom he went on to share many adventures with. He had a love for the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. Richard loved the mountains and spending time in God’s creation as often as he could. Richard is preceded in death by his parents George and Thelma Davis, two brothers Larry and Gary-Dean Davis, and one sister, Joy Smith. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Davis, two sons, Hunter and Jason Davis, one daughter, Christina Baker, two brothers, Jack and Jimmy Davis, one sister, Nancy Miller, daughter-in-law, Courtney Davis, two granddaughters, Stella and Charley Davis, grandson, Colton Watson, and two great-grandchildren, Braiden and Gracelynn Watson.

A memorial service will be held at East Funeral Home at 2807 Moores Ln. in Texarkana, TX on Saturday, December 14 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
