Martha Welch Nichols, 67 of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away December 29, 2015 at her home. She was born September 5, 1948 in Texarkana, Arkansas the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Welch. She was know as Marty to her friends and family.
Marty was a former LVN and ammunition inspector at D&Z. She was a Christian and a member of Hickory Street Baptist Church.
Ms. Nichols leaves behind so many people who will miss her; her Aunt Judy Pennington Sewell of El Dorado, Texas, her big brother, Victor Welch and sister-in-law, Patty Welch of Fort Worth, Texas, her brother Tony Welch, her son and daughter-in-law Greg and Misty Nichols of Doddridge, Arkansas, her son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Paula Siau of Canada; three she loved as her own; Tim Nichols, Kimberly Cornelius and Tammy. Mimi had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Dessa, TJ, Dylan, Sawyer, Jordan, Ethan, Peter, Max, Palin, Luke, Ashton, Levi, Avery, Jasmine and Adelyn. She has a number of nephews and nieces who love her very much. Marty has a few very close friends who she loved dearly;the late Robbie Rockholt and Joann Smith who were her friends from childhood, and Rachel Slifer.
There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m., at Hickory Street Baptist Church. The family welcomes all who knew and lover her.
