Marjorie Catherine Buckley, age 101, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at her home.She was born May 24,1923 in Texarkana, AR. Mrs. Buckley was a charter member of Arabella Heights Baptist Church until it closed in 2024 and moved her membership to Crossview Baptist Church in RedLick, TX and was a retired registered nurse from St Michaels Hospital and Opportunities INC.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Buckley, son Larry Buckley: Parents, Erbin and Ludie McDowell, sons-in-law, Larry Roberts, Joe Robertson, Dale Clary and David Daniel: great grandson, Dalton Buckley; brothers, Wilburn McDowell, Winfred McDowell and Marshall McDowell; sister, Betty Bounds.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Robertson and Sherri Daniel; grandchildren, Nicholas Roberts, Katie Zuniga and her husband Tony, David Buckley, Adam Robertson and his wife Jana; great grandchildren, Ella and Colt Roberts; Dakota, Phoenix and Silas Buckley; Julian and Kamryn Zuniga; Carson and Emma Claire Robertson; brothers, Parnell McDowell and Terrel McDowell; sister, Janet Moore and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10am Saturday, November 16, 2024 at East Memorial Chapel-Downtown with Rev. Kelsey Coleman officiating; Burial will be in Rondo Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
Visitation will be 6 to 8pm Friday, November 15, 2024 at the funeral home.
