Margueritte Jane Zamora, age 93, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024. She was born on August 10, 1931 in Texarkana, AR. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years. She was retired from Farm Credit Services. Following her retirement she loved working for Pleasant Grove ISD. in the cafeteria. Her favorite hobbies were reading and baking. She was known for her coconut cake and red velvet cake. Some of her favorite foods were What-a-Burger and ice cream.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 1998.
She is survived by one son Larry Zamora and his wife Pam; daughter Cindy Ozuna; daughter Melissa Oaks and husband Monte and daughter Nancy Saulsbury and husband Greg. Two sisters Evelyn Horne and Christine Hobbs. Five grandchildren Spencer Saulsbury and wife Jo Beth; Eric Saulsbury; Gina Stephens and husband Austin; Kara Saulsbury and Raymond Ozuna. Two great grandsons Louie and Peter Saulsbury. Plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Saint Edwards Catholic Church with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at 6 :00 pm Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at East Funeral Home-Downtown with a visitation to follow.
