Joyce Elaine Shipp

She was preceded in death by a grandson, James Lynn Jones III "Trey".

Survived by her husband, John Shipp of Texarkana, AR; three daughters Lorena Stevenson and her husband Buddy of Texarkana, AR., Teresa Jones of Genoa, AR. and Amanda Bowman and husband Brian of Genoa, AR; one son and daughter-in-law John F. and Alicia Shipp of Tucson, AZ; two brothers Carl "Button" Akin and wife Maria of Columbus, GA. and Robert "Bobby" Akin of Texarkana, TX; 11 grandchildren: Samantha, Tyler, Gwen, Taylor, Hope, Destiny, Cameron, Dylan, Brianna and Jayla; 6 Great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Trey, Damon, Colton, Raiden and Buck plus a number of other half brothers and sisters and a number of other family and friends.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at East Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Daryl Faulkner officiating.

Family will be at Church of God Union Assembly, 4981 US-59, Texarkana, TX 75501 at 1 PM following service.
