Joyce " Skippy " Marie Powell

Mrs. Powell was born October 3, 1944 in DeQueen, Arkansas. She was retired from Triple A and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son Tony Purifoy; granddaughter Catherine Purifoy, grandson, Tony Keith Purifoy and great grandchildren; Maddox and Lennox Turner, and her seven siblings that passed before her.

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons and their spouses; Virgil Edward ( Dee ) Purifoy and his wife Rhonda, Darin Wade Purifoy and his wife Rachel, and Jason Keith Purifoy. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren; Zachary Purifoy, Kelsey Bryant, Jacob Purifoy, Logan Crooks, Hayley Turner, Sarah Williams, Hunter Withers, Mattison Withers, Larwren Mauldin and Hannah Mauldin.

Also left to cherish her memory are fourteen great grandchildren and two sisters; Frances Starrett and Betty Webb.

The family will receive friends at 1405 North Mosley Road, Texarkana, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be 1:00 Monday, April 15, 2024 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Texarkana, Arkansas.

Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2024 at East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
