He was born on January 12, 1942 in Glens Falls, New York. Ted entered the United States Army in 1963. Upon discharge with overseas service in Japan and South Korea, Ted joined Star Paper Tube in 1965 in Pensacola, Florida. He was employed as Division Manager for Caraustar Industries including plant locations in West Monroe, LA, Texarkana, TX, Arlington, TX and Amarillo, TX. He retired after 40 years of service.
Ted was a member of Saint Edwards Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid reader. He loved sports, especially the game of golf. In 2013, he was the Senior Champion at Northridge Country Club. In that same year, hit a hole in one on the 18th hole of the course. He was also a Lifetime Florida Gator Fan.
Ted is preceded in death by his sister Anne Etzler.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Diane Macey, two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Jeff Caldwell of Texarkana, AR and Janet Fuller and Alan Taylor of Flower Mound, TX, grandson and wife, Joshua and Tracey Caldwell of Fayetteville, AR, one great granddaughter, Addison Lee Caldwell and one brother, Kevin Macey of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Catholic funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2023 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane with Rev. William Burmaster officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
