Edward L. Foster, age 87, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Edward was born October 5, 1934 in Texarkana. He was actively involved in the Texarkana Noon Lions Club where he was previously president and currently secretary. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and previously the mason president. Mr. Foster was a retired self employed accountant for many years in the Texarkana area. He served in the Army National Guard during the Central High School integration in Little Rock, AR. where he escorted many of the students to safety. He enjoyed the outdoors and most of all hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy Foster.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Nela Foster of Azle, Texas, and Chris Foster of McKinney, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Sonny Heatherly of Mineral Springs, AR; nine grandchildren April Foster, Matthew Foster, Brittany Foster, Courtney Kruger and Ian Foster; 15 great grandchildren plus three nephews.
Memorial service will be 2:pm Friday, August 12, 2022 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane officiated by Rev. John Webb.
