Carl "Pop" Glenn, Jr, age 83, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Carl was born May 31, 1941 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was married for 57 years to the love of his life, Donna, before her death in 2021. Carl was passionate about ministry throughout his life. He was active in prison ministry and volunteered with Mission Texarkana. In most recent years, he attended Christ Methodist Church. Carl served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1968 and Army National Guard from 1982-1989. After moving to Texarkana, Carl was an employee at Swepco for decades. After retirement, he worked as a security guard and handyman at the Judith McCarty School of Dancing where he was known and loved by everyone as “Pop.” In his free time, Carl enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and watching Razorback sports. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Carl was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna, and his mother and father, Delores and Carl Sr. and two brothers and a sister.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Dr. Mark Wren of Texarkana; two grandchildren and their spouses Kelsey and Collin Kuhn of Texarkana and Lucas and Eva Wren of Taos, New Mexico; two great-grandchildren Hudson and Lynley Kuhn, and two great-grandchildren twins due in November; plus numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A private graveside funeral service for Carl’s family will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Doug Rhodes officiating.
