Sandra Jean Grubbs

She graduated from Kemp High School in 1958. She married Bobby Grubbs on September 18, 1959. Majority of career was spent in education. She retired from Crandall ISD in 1995. After retirement, she spent the 12 years working at Frog Street Press with her daughter and friends.

She played the piano for many years at FBC Crandall. Presently, she was involved with her Adult V Sunday School class at Central Baptist Church. She also enjoyed quilting, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending and watching their activities. Camping was always a favorite with the camping club as well as quilt retreats and her most recent sewing group providing quilts for the children’s shelter.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Terrell and Dorothy Hale and her husband of 53 years, Bobby D. Grubbs.

Sandra is survived by her 2 daughters: Debra Wood and husband Tracy, Julie Johnson and husband Kevin, four grandchildren, Lauren and Ashton Wood and Matthew and Nathan Johnson. Brother Gary Hale and his wife Mary and a host of other family and friends.
