Scott was a 2004 graduate of South Vermillion High School, where he developed his talents as a welder. He was instrumental in creating the Obelisk that greets the community at the entrance of the High School.
He proudly served his Country in the US Army.
Scott received his welding certificate from Ivy Tech Community College, and was a shipyard welder in Washington State.
Surviving are his mother, Patti Harpold Garrett; father, Andrew (Diane) Gill; siblings, Dustin (Heather) Gill, Nathaniel (Mony Thol) Gill, Savanah (Steven) Chaney, and Kayla (Zach) Wehrmeyer, Brently (Angie) Norris, Mandy (Jason) Turner, and Samantha Norris; maternal grandparents, Sally and Ted Harpold; aunts and uncles, Tami Robertson, Holly Purdue, Ted J. (Amy) Harpold, Arnell (Lynn) Gill, Aaron Gill, Cordell Gill and Jollen Carty; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James M. Gill and Crystal M. Gill; an uncle, James O. Gill; and his step-father, Monte Starr Garrett.
A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 1 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Branham officiating. Inurnment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 am until time of services.
