Mary "Susie" Marx

Mary Louise "Susie" Marx, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Terre Haute, to William Schimmel and Goldie Middleton Schimmel.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Ruth Elaine, Carol Nacke and Gayle Brown; sons, Dennis and Max Garland; brothers, Oliver Schimmel and William Schimmel; granddaughter, Pamela Brown; and sisters, Mildred Bailey and Betty Harris.

Mary is survived by her son, Randolph Garland; her sister, Ruth Cutliff; grandson, Bob Brown; and great-grandson, Joshua Lang, all of Terre Haute; and several grandchildren.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Terre Haute Bible Center. She was a prayer warrior. Loving and giving, she made sure everyone was fed and had what they needed. She loved the Lord, and her children and relatives.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018, in Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Nash officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at:
