A memorial service will take place on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 2:00pm at Covenant Lutheran Church, 4202 Hickory Rd. Temple, Texas 76502.
Jimmie was an ICU nurse having worked in several hospitals throughout Texas, was a military wife and a member of Covenant Lutheran Church in Temple.
She is survived by her daughters, Jacki LaFerriere of Belton, Texas and Jamie Topal and husband Gary of Corpus Christi, Texas, 2 grandsons, PJ Garner and wife Isabel of Kyle, Texas and Justin LaFerriere of Vancouver, Canada and 2 great-granddaughters, Dezaray and Deanna Garner.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her husband James H. Smith, a son Lee Smith, and her parents.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Covenant Lutheran Church, 4202 Hickory Rd. Temple, Texas would be appreciated.
