Mr. Hanks died Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at a local hospital.
James Edward Hanks was born on March 16, 1957 to James Edgar Hanks and Mary Magdalene Davidson in Fort Polk, Louisiana. He was raised in the Grand Rapids, Minn. area attending Greenway and Grand Rapids schools. Jimmy entered the U.S. Military as an Army Specialist in Korea from 1981-1983. Later, he moved to Texas, where he worked construction jobs as a roofer. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-parents; one sister and one brother.
Survivors include siblings, Christine Pirritano, Lynn Hanks, John Conrad, David Conrad, Cheryl McClellan and Debra Anderson.
