Shirley Tilghman O’Hern (Shirley Gail Tilghman), 70, of Tampa, Florida, Passed on November 28, 2021 after a tenacious battle with cancer at Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, FL.
Shirley was born in Brooker, FL on January 16, 1951 and lived in Gainesville, FL for her formative years. Shortly after getting married and starting a family, she moved to Temple Terrace, FL and began a career in Human Resources at University Community Hospital (now Advent Health), lasting 20+ years. Shirley left her career to take care of her ailing father and spent the rest of her years in retirement bliss.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Thomas O'Hern, her daughter, Kimberly Meyer, her son, Scott Weatherington, her Step-Son, Casey O’Hern, her Step-Daughter, Kristen O’Hern, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of life will be held on January 16, 2022.
