Prakash B. Patel

Prakash Bhagwanbhai Patel, son of Bhagwanbhai and Maniben and brother of Rekhaben, was born on May 7th, 1960 in Surat, India. He immigrated to New Jersey at the age of 19 and started a career as an entrepreneur and business owner. He moved to Tampa, FL in 1996 where he and his family established their roots. Through his business ventures he was able to build life-long friendships and relationships that he cherished.

Above all else, Prakash was a family-man. He devoted his life to building and maintaining his family, and instilling his values in his children. He was always the life of the party, making sure that all people around him had a good time with his amazing personality and sense of humor.

He enjoyed watching cricket and football, playing the tabla, and appreciating classical Indian music. His love of the outdoors, that he shared with his wife Julie, led them to build beautiful gardens together.

Prakash is survived by his wife Julie Patel and their children; daughter Vanisha and her husband Rajan Parbhoo and their son Riyaan, daughter Nisha and her husband Andrew Guralnick and their future son, and son Kishan Patel.

A funeral service for Prakash will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory, 12690 N 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
