LOYD, Jonathan Oliver, age 17, of Tampa, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015. He was born August 27, 1998 in Miami, FL, the son of Tanya Lynn Kittendorf Loyd and John Oliver Loyd. Jonathan touched the life of everyone he met. All who encountered Jonathan quickly discovered his passion for music of all eras and his insatiable curiosity for dates and details relating to music, movies, television shows, and aspects of history. He enjoyed the inhibition that most of us envy, to dance like no one was watching whenever the music moved him. Jonathan spoke of peace, love and happiness for all, and believed that lyrics had the power to bring people together and make people happy, if they would just listen. His creative mind and unique sense of humor propelled him to write original stories, poems, and movie scripts, and create energetic music through his computer. He loved to relax on long car rides, snack on pudding, and drink milkshakes. And, above all, his boisterous laughter and infectious smile were evidence of the joy and intense love he felt for his family. In addition to his parents, Jonathan is also survived by his sister, Sarah Margaret Loyd; grandmother, Linda Anne Dunham Lusk; aunt, Lorie Anne Kittendorf; and cousin, Olivia Rhianne Kittendorf, extended family members from the Daniels, Davis, Dunham, Kittendorf, and Loyd families, and countless friends and educators who were touched by Jonathan’s joyous spirit and loving heart. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Grace Episcopal Church, 15102 Amberly Drive Tampa, FL 33647. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jonathan’s memory to Focus Academy at https://squareup.com/market/focus-academy or to CHASA at http://chasa.org/you-can-help/donate/.
