Clyde E Cosby

Clyde E.Cosby, age 83, of New Tazewell TN was born January 7, 1935 and passed away on February 22, 2018 at home with his wife. Clyde was saved at an early age. He enjoyed going to Hardee's for breakfast with his friends and visiting with his neighbors. Clyde also liked to ride around in his golf cart and work in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Doxie Cosby; brothers Ernie Cosby, Charlie Cosby, James Cosby, and Ben Cosby; sisters Molly Ferguson, Glessie Jewel, and Phyllis Dyer; and son Gary Cosby.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years Louise Cosby. Beloved pet Mandy Cosby. Children Jerry Cosby, Jeff Cosby, Larry Cosby, Clyde Cosby Jr, Tim Begley, Kim Vandenberg, Loretta Yuergens, and Shannon Ceroky. Siblings Jack Cosby, Howard Cosby, Elmer Cosby, Pete Cosby, Ruby Essary, Josephine Massengill, and Sue Allen. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday February 26th from 9 until 11 AM at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel with burial after in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Harrogate. Officiating will be Rev. Chester Owens and Rev. Lawrence Fultz. Providing music and reading the obituary will be Sam Barnett. Pallbearers will be Rusty Davis, Gene Elliott, Greg Massengill, Dewayne Gilpin, and Brian Hubbard. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Bullen, Clifford Bull, and Odell Brooks. Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
