Norma Jean Swenson

Norma Jean Carter Swenson passed from this life September 16, 2011, at the age of 64. She was born July 21, 1947 to Leon and Mary “Chic” Carter. She graduated from Pflugerville High School. She married her high school sweet heart Donald Swenson. They lived on the family farm where they raised their son Douglas Swenson. Norma and Donald moved to Thorndale, Texas in 2003, where she was a member of the Thorndale Ladies Auxiliary Club. Norma enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and watching them grow up.

She is preceded in death by her mother Mary “Chic” Carter; mother-in-law Lillian Swenson; father-in-law Elmer Swenson and brother-in-law Morris Swenson.

She is survived by her father Leon Carter; husband Donald Swenson; son Douglas Swenson; granddaughter Kody Swenson; grandson Tyler Swenson; niece Linnaea Swenson; nephew Phillip Swenson and wife Misty; great-niece Macy Swenson and great-nephews Landon Swenson and Ethan Bertram.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Swenson; Tyler Swenson, Phillip Swenson, Dennis Mikulencak, Tom Sandifer and Junior Sandifer.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Condra Funeral Home.

Services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 10:00 am at Condra Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
