Juanita Poldrack

Juanita (Smith) Poldrack, 97 of Thrall, Texas passed peacefully with family on November 7, 2024. Juanita was born January 11, 1927, near Beaukiss, Texas to the late Johnnie (King) Smith and Alice (Richmond) Smith.

She married Lester Poldrack December 14th, 1945, in Thrall, TX.

Her favorite activities were gardening, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed dominoes with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren and telling of her life stories on the farm. You wouldn’t go a day without seeing her with a Rockdale reporter and crossword puzzle in her hand.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters Bonnie Sharp, Burtreal Fiskland, Lola Smith (infant); brothers Melvin Smith, Virgil (Bill) Smith, Marvin Smith, Emzy Smith, Norman Smith, Garland Smith; Sister in laws Janie (Poldrack) Zucknick, Margie (Poldrack) Posey, Earline (Poldrack) Shinn; and great grand-daughter Elena Poldrack.

Survivors include son Johnny Ray Poldrack, wife Irma; sister Rita King; brother Sammey Smith; grandsons David Poldrack, wife Laura; Justin Poldrack, wife Sabrina; granddaughter Kerry (Poldrack) Rodriguez, husband Steven; 7 great grandchildren, Eric, Nathan, Jeremiah, Lukas, Tatiana, Colt, Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Juanita will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Taylor City Cemetery, Taylor, TX.
