Edwin August Krause Jr.

Edwin August Krause Jr. (Ed) of Bartlett, TX passed away on his 81st birthday on April 27, 2023 in Round Rock, TX. He was born on April 27, 1942 in Bartlett, TX. Ed graduated from Bartlett High School in 1960 and worked at Ralph Wilson Art in Temple, TX. In 1966 he moved to Houston and worked at International Harvester and later Mack Trucks. He moved to the Dallas area in 1985, and married Billie Sue Crowder in 1987, living in that area for several years. He retired and moved back to Bartlett to live at the Krause family home place until his death.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Sue Krause, parents, Edwin August Krause and Norma Lange Krause and his brother in law Marvin (Mickey) Fritsche. He is survived by his sons, Keith Krause of Spring, TX and Kevin Krause and his girlfriend Heather Hahn of Austin, TX. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Korey Krause of Spring and Kiefer Krause and his wife Julia of Conroe, four great grandchildren, Matthew, Kimber, Karli and Kooper Krause. He is also survived by his sister, Kathryn Fritsche, his brother Charles Krause and his wife Rosalyn and several nieces and nephews.

Ed was a member of the Board of the Little River-San Gabriel Soil and Water Conservation District and the Jarrell Schwertner Water Supply Corporation.

He enjoyed square dancing, playing dominoes, traveling and going to casinos. He enjoyed life at his country home raising cattle and enjoying the quiet country life. He attended the 3C Cowboy Church in Salado, TX where he made many lifelong friends. Memorials may be made to the 3C Cowboy Church in Salado, TX or the Bartlett TX Fire Department.

Services for Mr. Krause will be held Wednesday, May 3, at 1:00 pm at the 3C Cowboy Church, 16258 Gooseneck Rd., Salado, TX 76571 with burial immediately following in the Bartlett City Cemetery.
