Clorine Sims was born to I.T. and Beulah Franklin on July 23, 1932. She grew up in Granger, TX where she attended school at Crispus Attuck High. Clorine joined the Galilee Baptist Church at an early age. She later moved membership to Judea Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Reese.
Clorine met and fell in love with George W. Sims Sr. and married him on Feb. 23, 1957. To this union 3 children were born.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 57 years, GeorgeW. Sims Sr.; her 2 sons, George Sims Jr. (Teresa) of Seminole, TX and Earl Sims of Granger, TX; and her daughter, Lavera Johnson (Tony) of Bartlett, TX; 1 sister, Catherine Hamino of Austin, TX; 3 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
