Charles was born on December 17, 1945, in Taylor to Charlie and Christine Kruse. He graduated from Hutto High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Business Administration from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas all while helping his dad run the family farm around Normans Crossing.
Charles met the love of his life, Deborah Sorensen, of Hutto, and they married on June 24, 1967. They made their home in Normans Crossing where they raised their son Kyle Kruse.
Charles spent his career in the IT industry with Texas Department of Public Safety, Dell and Americredit.
Charles loved family, animals especially his donkey Pacer, music played at the loudest volume from Elvis to Guns & Roses, driving around the property on his John Deere Gator, going in 7th gear mowing grass, and the staple of conversation was sports whether it was Aggie football, pulling for the Cleveland Indians in the World Series or the Washington Redskins in hopes of a Super Bowl appearance. Whether you knew him as a coach in Pflugerville Little League, junior golf tournaments or simply the man that had unique sayings or trick questions that almost always had a mathematical reason he will always be remembered for loving life and bringing joy to those around him.
Charles’ family was the most important to him. He was very proud of his new grandson, Kaison, born in April 2016. He loved to play with Kaison and make him smile and laugh. He was the best grandpa!
Charles lived his life by his favorite slogan plans for your plans plans!
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Christine Kruse.
He is survived by wife Deborah Kruse, son Kyle and wife Leslie and grandson Kaison Stryker Kruse of Taylor.
