Charles was born and raised in Taylor, Texas. He was a veteran of WWII. Charles served in the Navy, and more specifically in the SeaBees. He was a member of both the VFW and American Legion, was a member of SPJST Lodge 29, in Taylor, and he was a Plumber, by profession. Charles and wife Elsie were a long time members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor, before he moved to an Assisted Living Center in Garden Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie.
He is survived by his son, Charles T. Flink and his wife Mary Lou Flink of Garden Ridge, TX; his grandchildren, Jennifer Flink of San Antonio, TX, Carla O’Tormey and her husband Sean of Lexington, SC, and James Flink and his wife Danielle of San Antonio, Tx; and his great grandchild, Elsie Flink, the daughter of James and Danielle.
Gravesite Services will be held on Friday, December 20, at 11:00AM at the Taylor City Cemetery.
