Richardson, William M Sr, 89, of Palmetto, Fla. passed away peacefully October 17, 2020 in the care of Tidewell Hospice of Lakewood Ranch, Fla. He was an only child born and raised in Louisville, Ky. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Angela M Richardson; son, Michael Allen Richardson. Survivors include his two sons, William M Richardson Jr, Scott A. Richardson; daughter, Sharon L. Richardson; and loving family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
William graduated from University of Louisville and was a Korean War Veteran with the U.S. Air Force. After his military service, he moved to Florida and was employed by Peninsula Telephone Company as an Engineering Manager and eventually retired from General Telephone Company in Tampa. He had a passion for music and loved to play the piano. He enjoyed serving in his church, First Baptist Church of Tampa. He also enjoyed serving as member of the Egypt Temple Shrine in Tampa and lifetime member of the Greater Tampa Sertoma Club.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2020 in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa.
