Halbert, William Bentley (Bill and GP) 70 of Tampa, FLwent home to be with his Lord on June 2, 2015, after a short illness with a rare form of brain cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Reverend Gordon H. Halbert and Dannie Halbert-Brewton. Bill served proud in the USMC from 1965-1969 in Southeast Asia, as corporal in the 2nd Recon Battalion, 2nd Marine Division. He was an electrical contractor by trade and owned Vanguard Electric Inc. from 1977- 2000. He enjoyed spending time with his family hunting, fishing and traveling the country in his airstream. He is survived by his wife Loretta of forty-five years, his sons Scott ( Natalie) of Tampa, FL and Kevin (Christy) of Zephyrhills, FL and three grandsons Garrett, Bryant and Camden ( they called him GP), along with his sister Gail Whatley (Charlie) of Pensacola, FL and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place at 11 am, Friday, June 5, 2015, with Pastor Kerry Nance officiating. The family will receive the friends one hour prior to the service.
