Wilfred D Vazquez

Wilfred (Willie) David Vazquez of Tampa, FL passed away on March 15, 2024 at the age of 89. He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and moved to Tampa in 1945 where he later graduated from Plant High School. He attended the University of Tampa for 2 years before venturing out as an entrepreneur. He went on to become the successful business owner of Varsity and Marquis Dry Cleaners. For most of his career, he owned Bowen Travel Service and founded the Tampa Bay Ski Club. He had a passion for travel and new experiences. But his greatest accomplishment was his love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sally; his daughters, Linda and her spouse Victor, Stacy and her spouse Avery; his grandchildren, Ashleigh and her spouse Matt, David and his spouse Alexa, Hannah and Austin and his spouse Gabby; his great grandsons, Michael and Caleb; and his sisters, Edith and Priscilla.

A service to honor Willie will take place at 11am on Monday, March 25th at Bay Hope Church located at 17030 Lakeshore Rd, Lutz, FL 33558. The family will receive friends starting 10am.
