Wesley J. King

KING, Wes, died Saturday, October 8, 2011, the beloved husband of Mary R. Randy King. He is survived by a son, Collin; grand-daughter, Morgan; daughter-in-law, Mary E. King; step-son, Bradley and his wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Christi and Tyler; stepson, Steven Finch and his wife, Susan; grandchildren, Reagan, Alex, Annie and Joe; younger sister and brother-in law, McKinney of Texas. Wes was a former U.S. Marine and retired teacher with the Hillsborough County School Board System. He loved working with young people, coaching little league baseball, and organizing a young people's acting group for the Carrollwood Players. He was also the sponsor for the Theatre Club at Dowdell Middle School. For many years, he served as a member of Masque Theatre and was a board member of the Carrollwood Players, where he was an actor, director and producer. He also appeared in a couple of films and commercials. He loved his Georgia Bulldogs, the Tampa Bay Rays and his four legged children, Barklay, Omega and Ms. Lillie. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Family will receive friends 3-4 p.m., with a service at 4 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Gonzalez Funeral Home.
