Survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie Stewart, daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Thomas Trask, their 4 children, Daniel (19), Allison (16), Jared (14) and Nathan (9.97), a son, Brent Stewart and his family, and his two brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Stewart.
Tim was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Tim and Dorothy Stewart on April 15, 1950. And despite what his grandkids believed, he did not ride dinosaurs to school.
Tim attended college at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where he earned his Master’s in Sociology. It is at Henderson State where he met Debra Jean. Tim and Debbie married on March 22, 1974.
Tim and Debbie made their home in Searcy, Arkansas, before moving to Florida in 2004 where they became members of the Lutz Church of Christ.
Tim was a vintage muscle car enthusiast. He had several amazing cars over the years and currently owns a 1970’s Plymouth Plum Crazy Cuda. In addition to his muscle car obsession, he enjoyed gun collecting and target practice with his “Little Buddy”, Jared.
Tim loved his strong coffee and although it skipped a generation, his grandkids, Allison, Jared, and Nathan, LOVE to drink coffee, especially with their Grandaddy.
Tim was a beloved husband, father and Grandaddy. A man of integrity, who was dedicated to his family. Tim was notorious for his sense of humor, always with a story to tell, (the grandkids’ favorite was Billy the Horse) and a silly joke to make you laugh (or not). Listening to his 50’s/60’s music, eating his PB&J’s, and tinkering in the garage... he will be missed.
A Memorial Service will be held in the form of a drop-in visitation on Friday, September 13th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at The Blount & Curry Funeral Home - Carrollwood at 3207 W Bears Ave, Tampa, FL 33618.
In lieu of flowers, we are requesting donations be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
