COUSINS, Thomas S.J. 82, of Tampa, FL, born in Brooklyn, NY, passed away February, 22, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 21 years, Carol Cousins; his three children, Christopher, Cynthia, and Timothy; his five grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Alyce, Alexa, and Michael; three siblings, Doris, John and Janet (Robert, deceased); and Carol’s two daughters, Sharon and Tanya. He proudly served as a First Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps. Thomas spent his professional life working in Finance and Accounting. He embraced “giving back” to society through multiple hours of volunteerism: cabin counselor for a hospice Grief Camp for children; hospital volunteer, community HOA associations, religious education and more. Thomas loved baseball. The Brooklyn Dodgers was his favorite team and he managed a AAA Dodgers Training camp for teens at Dodgertown in Vero Beach, FL.. He loved sports, especially playing golf. A graveside burial service will be held at FL National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL , on Friday, March 17, at 2:00pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 8401 W. Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa, FL, 33615, on Saturday, March 18, at 10 am, immediately followed by a reception.
