Steve was born on August 2, 1957 in Atlanta Ga. He moved to Tampa as a young child where he attended St. John's Episcopal school followed by Jesuit High School.
Steve began his career at Viking Fire Protection, a family owned fire suppression company where he worked for several years in Atlanta and then Tampa, followed by City Ready Mix, a concrete company based in Plant City, FL . Steve went on to work for Cone Constructors where he honed his skills for operating heavy equipment. After learning the construction business, Steve formed his own company called T-Bone Dirt Works where he specialized in land clearing. Steve operated his company for many years until ultimately transitioning into the bulk transportation business, where he ended his career in 2021.
Steve worked most of his life and prided himself on the value of hard work and dogged determination. He could fix anything and was often a resource for home or vehicle improvement projects for the whole family.
Beyond work, Steve was a kind hearted, deeply introspective man with an immense curiosity for how things worked. He was intelligent, opinionated (very), quietly religious and a lover of all animals. Steve was affectionately known for many years as the unofficial "Mayor of Odessa" because of his willingness to talk to anyone about anything and he was always there to offer his hand to anyone in need. You always knew when Steve was present because you couldn't miss his 1971 Chevy pick up truck and cowboy hat. If you wanted to engage in a discussion on politics or macro economics, grab a chair because he would tell you more than you wanted to know.
Steve, Dad, Pops, unapologetically lived his life 'his' way, and lived it well. He loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Steve is survived by his mother, Essie Reynolds, sister, Claudia Reynolds (Boone NC), his children Ryan (Nicole), Charlsey and Lauralee Reynolds, his three grandchildren, Poe, Haven and Essie Jay Reynolds as well as his nephews Jason and Christopher and niece Brittany Jones.
