Robert David Wood Jr.

Robert David "Bob" Wood Jr. went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2023 at the age of 60. Bob was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, where he attended Chamberlain High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from Asbury University. He later attended Gammon Theological Seminary and Wesley Biblical Seminary. Bob proudly served in the Army before being honorably discharged.

Bob devoted his life to ministry by faithfully serving as a pastor and missionary. Throughout his ministry, he led others to Christ through his servant-leadership. In recent years, he has directed a bilingual Christian school in Honduras to empower and disciple the next generation.

Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Robert D Wood Sr. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Wood; wife, Rosa Wood; children, Elizabeth (Joshua) Salley, Emily (Austin) Frerman, Steven Wood, and Sarah Wood; sister, Wendie Wood; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday February 4, 2023 at the First Methodist Church of Dunnellon. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to continue the mission of his school at https://aim2020.com.

Military honors for Robert will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
