Robert S Stringer

Robert Sanders Stringer, 75, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on January 13, 2024. Born to James G. and Katherine Stringer on January 2, 1949, in Talladega, Alabama, Robert graduated from Tuscaloosa High School and attended The University of Alabama and the University of South Florida. He graduated with a Business Administration degree. His 40-year career in the retail furniture industry earned him many accolades. Carol Trice Stringer, his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, survives him. Survivors include daughters Layne (Jeff) Spotts and Stephanie (Rocky Jenkins) Stringer, grandchildren Emma and Cody Spotts, brother Jim (Mary Helen) Stringer, sister Virginia (JB) Gilbert, brother David (Sharon) Stringer, sister Elizabeth (Bobby) Tinney, brother-in-law Stuart Trice and wife Carol Burnside Trice, and many loving nieces and nephews. Robert loved his family and friends. He was deeply rooted in his faith and was active in weekly men’s Bible study at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church for over 15 years. Kindness, generosity, and an inspiring personality were infectious, and his willingness to help was apparent to all he met. He was a big Alabama fan, attended football games consistently, and instilled his love of the Crimson Tide in everyone he knew. He was always ready to give you a Roll Tide as an avid fan and alumnus. In the past decade, he has been battling Parkinson's disease. He looked forward to actively working out with his Parkinson's warriors. We want to thank the pdLIFE family for being his village and for always believing in him. Despite his health problems, he continued to fight Parkinson's disease every day. Our gratitude goes out to Dr. Kathleen Grizzard and the AdventHealth physicians who helped him live life to the fullest.

There will be a visitation held on January 25 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at 605 S. MacDill Ave. Tampa, Florida. A memorial service will be held on January 26 at 1:00 PM at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church at 3501 W San Jose St. in Tampa, Florida. Instead of sending flowers, the family requests donations to pdLIFE in support of Parkinson's.
