On July 20, 2021, Robert "Bob" Scamardo passed away at home with his family at his bedside. He was born in Fresno, California on October 8,1940. Robert served in the United States Army until 1959. He was an active member of Saint Paul's Catholic Church for 30 years and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In 1969 he started his own business, RSC Industries, which grew to become one of the top businesses in his specialty.
Robert was a kind and loving man. He always loved being with family and friends; whether it was having a barbecue with family or spending time with his good friend Bob. He also enjoyed fishing, playing golf, or simply having breakfast with his friends.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Kitty, his daughter Dawn Wilson, his son Robert Scamardo, and his daughter-in-law Katrina, his cherished sister Carol Prosser, his brother Charles Prosser, sister-in-law Connie, and sister-in-law Sharleen Williams, his treasured grandchildren, Ashley, Dylan, Sierra, Justin and Whitney, Ryan, Kyle, Kylie, Cole along with his great-grandchildren Lillie, Emma, Beckham and Sophia, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Blount and Curry Funeral Home on Bearrs Avenue in Tampa, Florida. Family will welcome friends at 10:00 a.m. There will be a short service following the visitation that all are welcomed to attend. The family will then proceed to Robert's final resting place for a private internment.
