Robert Francis Redmon

Redmon, Robert F., passed away peacefully on October 25, 2015. He was born in Louisville Kentucky On October 2, 1924. He lived there until joining the Navy in 1941. He was a quartermaster in the Navy and rose to the rank of chief petty officer. In the Pacific during World War II he was in 12 major naval battles and five landings. He was a Guadalcanal veteran. After retiring from the Navy he worked as a ship captain for the Naval weapons laboratory. He was an avid golfer and shot his age at age 86.He is survived by his wife Rose Redmon, sons Robert, Donald, Henry, and their wives Diane,Jackie, and Kathy; and grandchildren Bradley, Robin, Colin, Christopher, and Derek. A funeral mass will be held at incarnation Catholic Church at 11 AM on November 14. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Naval relief society.
