Bob worked in data processing for BayCare at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, where he dedicated many years of service.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Catherine Woodaz Hill, whom he married on May 24, 1975, in Tampa, Florida. Together, they traveled across the United States, building countless friendships along the way and creating lasting memories. Bob had a passion for camping and spending time in nature, activities he cherished deeply.
He is also survived by his loving son, Brian Hill, his daughter-in-law, Kelsey Hill, and his grandchildren, Connor Hill, John Cook, and Chloe Springer, Amy Pearson, Rebecca Scott, and Josh. Bob’s siblings, Cheri Davenport (Neil) and Carole Hilliard (Al), along with many beloved nieces and nephews, will miss him dearly. John Woodaz (Nan), Tom Woodaz, Jan Woodaz, Chris Woodaz (Patty), Sue Britton (Darwin), Virginia Curtis (Chris), Camille Quigley (Don), Steve Woodaz, Dan Woodaz (Marcie).
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Myrtle and Robert Hill, John and Patricia Woodaz, Michael Norman Hill, Carm Woodaz, Frances Woodaz, Christie Curtis, Katherine Kurti Woodaz, and Jeremy Davenport.
Bob’s kind spirit, love for adventure, and dedication to his family will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived.
A celebration of life will take place Saturday, October 12, 2024 with a visitation held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm followed by a 4:00 pm service at Blount and Curry Life Event Center 605 S MacDill Ave Tampa, FL 33609.
