Patricia J Bowmer

Bowmer, Patricia J. “Patty”, 70, of Land O Lakes, entered peacefully into Heaven on March 4, 2015 surrounded by her loving family after a prolonged illness. Patty was born in Hamilton, Ohio and moved to the Tampa area at the age of 8. She enjoyed a long career of 30 plus years with the Hillsborough County School System. Patty was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Lester Bruns and her brother, David Bruns. Patty was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and many friends. She also had a passion for all things purple, was an avid reader and enjoyed crafts . Patty had a sweet, loving spirit, never had an unkind word for anyone, and possessed an amazing amount of strength and courage that served as an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Patty is survived by her two sons, Billy Bowmer (wife, Bridget) and Randy Bowmer; brothers, Bud Bruns (wife, Barbara) and Dallas Bruns; sister, Peggy Ruggeri (husband, John); grandchildren, Cordelle Bowmer and Brian Bowmer; great-grandson, Blake Bowmer and many nieces, nephews, cousin, and many, many friends. A memorial service will take place Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2PM at the Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in her memory to Gulfside Hospice or the American Heart Association.
