Otilia Uriza Espinoza is survived by her husband, Carlos E. Espinoza; her children, Martin Espinoza, Danny and George A. Ravens; her step children Carla V., Muriel, Maritza and Elgin Espinoza; her sister Gladys Eaton, her brother Rene Uriza and her cousin Melissa Benoit. She is preceded in death by her parents Gladys Smith and Rene Uriza.
Otilia Uriza Espinoza was born on February 22, 1956 in Bluefields, Nicaragua to Gladys Smith and Rene Uriza. She graduated in 1996 from the University of South Florida with a degree in Education. She married Carlos Espinoza, her childhood sweetheart in 1997. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient, mother who encouraged them to pursue all their goals especially educational.
Otilia Uriza Espinoza was a special education teacher at Robinson High School for 21 years and retired in 2018. She was a generous, kind, dedicated, individual who loved spending time with her family and pursued healthy habits of eating and exercise. She was passionate about changing the world through education and wanted to make a difference with each of her students.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday June 2nd, 2018 from 2-6 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at 3207 Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL 33618. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Otilia Uriza Espinoza’s life. Condolences can be sent to [email protected] or posted through the Dignity website.
