Oanh Nguyen

Oanh Nguyen was born in Saigon, Vietnam to Ba Van Nguyen and Huong Thanh Phan on November 26, 1972. She went to school at Nam Ki Khoi Nghia, Saigon. She was married to Phi Cong Phan and had two children. She was a single mom and worked as a self-employed Tailor and Manicurist. She was the first choir leader of The Teresa Choir of Children in Thanh Tam Catholic Church in Thu Duc, Vietnam.

Oanh is remembered by her generous heart; her love for singing and music, especially Catholic Vietnamese hymns. She loved cooking Vietnamese dishes for her family and enjoyed reading to her grandchildren. She also loved tending to her orchid and koi garden's.

Oanh Nguyen is survived by her son, Quang Phan and wife Dan Bui; daughter, Van Phan and husband Khanh Truong, sister's Thanhlan Vo and Nicole Vuong; her Mother, Huong Thanh Phan and Step-dad Phuoc Vuong; grandson Christian Phan and grand-daughter Queenie Truong; and Oanh’s fiancé Dung Thanh Le.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 4-8 pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home - Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Vietnamese Catholic Church, 5601 Hanley Rd, Tampa, Florida 33634 at 10:00am. Cremation Service to be private.
