Norma Mendez Oliva

Norma Mendez Oliva passed away on July 28th 2021 at the age of 77. Born on November 27th 1943 in Rincon, PR, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Joaquina Mendez. Norma migrated to NYC at the age of 5. After graduating from HS, she began her career at Banco Popular. In her later years she became interested in education and went on to receive both her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. She spent 25+ years as a teacher and administrator at Rena Day Care. Upon retiring her and her husband Ismael (Pino) moved to Orlando, Fl. She spent her retirement years enjoying time with her daughters and grandchildren. Norma is survived by her husband Ismael Oliva; daughters Norma, Louann and Christina; brothers Joseph and Manuel Mendez; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many loving family and friends.
