ANDERSON, Mary Lou, 72, of Lutz, formerly of Clifton, Virginia, passed away on December 25, 2022. Prior to retirement and moving to Florida, Mary Lou worked for Fairfax County Public Transportation her entire career as a beloved school bus driver and Transportation Supervisor. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, reading mystery novels, and spending time at the beach. Mary Lou loved being a mom and her boys meant everything to her.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Margaret Doane, and brother John Doane. She is survived by her children, Matthew Anderson, Daniel Anderson (fiance Jennifer Ohlemeyer), Kevin Anderson; grandchildren, Lillie Anderson, Jakob Dejaynes, Alivia Dejaynes; brothers, Bob Doane, Tom Doane; former husband and father of her sons, Richard Anderson; and many close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 5:00pm, Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Avenue with the family receiving friends from 4:00pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in Mary Lou's memory.
